The Somerset VCFSE Insights Hub provides national, regional and local information, all in one place, making it easier for you to write strong funding bids, support new service developments, identify opportunities for partnership working and clearly demonstrate your impact to funders.

Somerset Local Insight Tool 

Free and easy to use, Local Insight lets you explore data about the area you work in and is packed with over 1,000 neighbourhood-level indicators that are reliable and up to date. Data is available on various themes, including crime, housing, employment, the economy, population, and services.

Somerset Joint Strategic Needs Assessment 

The Somerset JSNA brings together information and evidence to give us a well-rounded picture of what it is like to live in Somerset. It examines the health and care needs of the whole population to give a local context for health and social care service planning.

Sport England Active Lives tools 

Sport England is a government-funded public body responsible for growing and developing grassroots sport and physical activity across England. It invests National Lottery and Exchequer funding to help people of all ages and backgrounds get active, reduce inequalities in participation, and support community clubs, facilities and local delivery partners. Its research and data tools — such as Active Lives, Active Places Power and the Inequalities Metric — provide valuable insights to shape evidence-based projects that improve health and wellbeing.
